Certain discrepancies have come to our notice, and I take responsibility for them. These issues will be rectified, and appropriate solutions will be worked out. All of us are engaged in this task. We will not leave a single student's unanswered query or concern unresolved," Pradhan told reporters after holding a high-level review meeting with officials from CBSE, education ministry and directors of IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras.Pradhan assured that if anyone is found intentionally responsible for these discrepancies, they will not be spared regardless of their position within or outside CBSE. The ministry is closely monitoring the situation, he conveyed. The meet assessed the post-exam processes and technical and payment gateway errors dogging the CBSE verification and re-evaluation portal. Pradhan is learnt to have directed that all necessary measures should be taken to resolve student concerns in a timely, transparent and student-friendly manner.Nearly 18 lakh students appeared for class 12 boards this year, involving 98 lakh answer sheets and 40 crore scanned pages under OSM. So far, over 4 lakh students have accessed the answer sheet through the CBSE verification portal involving 11 lakh scanned pages, the minister was informed.Speaking to reporters, the minister said: "Many universities and institutions in India, and several institutions across the world, are moving towards this system. It is student-centric and designed for the benefit of students. Through this process, students can transparently access information about their marks, and through scanned copies, they can directly view their answer sheets. It helps address students' doubts and concerns regarding whether they received fewer or more marks, or whether any answer or section was overlooked during evaluation".Pradhan rejected Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations, questioning CBSE engaging a company called Coempt for the OSM despite the firm's "dismal record" in Telangana earlier. He underlined that CBSE had responded to Gandhi's allegations clarifying that procurement was done in adherence to governmental policies.
