A former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Victor Ochei, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, citing the need for broader political growth and continued commitment to public service.
Ochei confirmed his resignation in a letter dated May 8, 2026, addressed to the APC Ward 4 chairman in Onicha-Olona, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
His media aide, Austin Edemodu, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Asaba on Thursday.
The former lawmaker said his decision followed careful reflection and consultations.
He said he joined the APC in 2016 and contributed to the party’s growth through grassroots mobilisation and political engagement across the state.
