Coinbase’s Layer 2 blockchain has moved beyond the screen and into the physical world, launching the Base Builder’s Loft at Network School in Forest City, Johor, Malaysia. It’s the first dedicated physical hub for Base in the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The space is designed to support builders, founders, investors, and creators who are developing projects on Base.
What the Builder’s Loft actually is
The Loft is housed inside Network School, the co-living and co-learning community project conceived by crypto entrepreneur Balaji Srinivasan. Network School sits in Forest City, a sprawling development zone in Johor, the Malaysian state that borders Singapore.
Srinivasan’s vision for Network School centers on creating an intentional community for digital nomads and startup builders. The Base Builder’s Loft carves out a dedicated corner of that community for onchain development.
