MANILA, Philippines — A total of P573 million worth of alleged kickbacks was “systematically delivered” to Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, the Office of the Ombudsman learned, prompting its filing of the third plunder case against the majority bloc senator.
Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano made this known as he provided more details of the plunder and graft cases the anti-graft body filed in the Sandiganbayan on Thursday afternoon.
“Our case is built on solid, immovable evidence,” Clavano said in a press conference.
“We will have one shot to get these cases right,” he said. “The Filipino people need to see justice.”
