One of the most popular coffee chains across the UK and the rest of the world is Starbucks, operating roughly 40,000 locations across the globe.‌While they are known for their indulgent Frappuccino coffee drinks, from any classic coffee drinks, teas, and other hot drinks, it's no doubt that they will cost you more than making your drink by yourself at home.‌But now, one Edinburgh-based Starbucks customer named Holly Harrison has shared her ultimate hack for how she manages to order herself a large, iced coffee drink from the chain for just £1 per cup. She went on to share her ordering hack with her Instagram followers."£1 for a Starbucks? This is a hack that you'll need, right," Holly said at the start of her video as she held up her Starbucks drink for viewers to see."So, if you've got the Starbucks app, and you know how you'll need like 500 stars to get like a drink like this," Holly said as she pointed to her coffee drink with added whipped cream and caramel drizzle.‌"For this drink, you'll need 130 stars," she said, sharing that she'd also had to spend £1 on top of the collected stars in the app, which was just to pay for the added cold foam on top.The Starbucks stars are part of the coffee chain's rewards programme, as if you sign up for free through the Starbucks app, you will earn 10 points for ever pound you spend, which can then be redeemed for free drinks. Once you've gained 2,500 stars, you will move up to a Gold membership, which also gives you extra shots of espresso, selected syrups and whipped cream for free when added to drinks. How to get £1 drink in StarbucksContent cannot be displayed without consent‌To recreate the drink, Holly explained you need to go into the Starbucks app and redeem 130 stars for a large iced Americano, before adding the caramel drizzle, a splash of oat milk, as well as brown sugar syrup, which is free if you're a Gold member, or it will cost you £1 to add.
