TVTV NewsThe One ShowThe One Show regular confirmed that two presenters will be joining one of the UK's most trusted consumer brands Watchdog19:44, 27 May 2026Updated 19:46, 27 May 2026BBC The One Show star shared an “exciting” update as he confirmed a show shake-up.‌Matt Allwright confirmed that Watchdog has expanded its investigation team as he announced that two new presenters will film alongside him and Nikki Fox.‌During Wednesday’s (May 27) episode of the BBC hit chat show, JB Gill and Angellica Bell returned to our TV screens as the pair welcomed a stellar line-up of guests to the iconic sofa.‌The duo welcomed Rivals co-stars Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, who recently teamed up for brand new ITV quiz show ‘Nobody’s Fool’, where bluffing is all part of the game. Joining them was Anna Maxwell Martin who came on to share how viewers will see a very different side to her as she takes on her most villainous role yet in ‘Star City’.However before JB and Angelica could dive into the show, Matt teased that he had some "exciting" news to share.‌Keen to find out more, Angelica said: “But first it’s Watchdog, So Matt, tell us about this exciting news you have”Matt announced: “I’m so pleased to announce, we are welcoming two new Watchdog presenters to our film team. Documentary maker and from BBC’s Asian Network the brilliant Amber Haque.”The TV presenter continued: “As well as Scam Interceptors presenter Nick Stapleton, who is of course carrying on the legacy of his parents, Watchdog Legends John Stapleton and Lynn Faulds Wood.”‌He added: “Nick and Amber and two of the most talented investigative journalists around and Nicki and I and the rest of the team are so thrilled that they are joining us.”Nick took on his first report tonight as he exposed scam adverts on social media that lure consumers into fraudulent investments.‌The new presenter admitted that there is a “real poignancy” in joining the team as his parents, who fronted the show from 1986 to 1933, are not around anymore.Elsewhere in the show, Matt announced that his BBC show Doorbell Detectives is making a return to our TV screens next week straight after Morning Live.He explained: “So excited. Monday morning straight after Morning Live we are back looking at crimes caught on doorbell footage including one shocking case where a thief broke into a bungalow, while the elderly owners slept, completely unaware.”Article continues belowThe investigative journalist continued: “It was only until their doorbell camera footage alerted their daughter of the overnight intrusion.
