Filmed on location in Jersey, the acclaimed programme, which boasts an impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for series one, launched its second season back in April with the series finale airing last week.The programme offers a contemporary reimagining of the iconic Jersey-based crime drama, following troubled detective Jim Bergerac, portrayed by Brassic star Damien Molony.The original Bergerac television series broadcast during the 1980s, featuring John Nettles as the fictional detective Jim Bergerac. It received a reboot in 2025, with 42-year-old Damien taking on the leading role.As well as Damien, series two also saw Zoë Wanamaker return as Bergerac's formidable mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert as police officer Barney Crozier and Chloé Sweetlove as Bergerac's daughter and Charlie's granddaughter.Meanwhile, newcomers included Adrian Edmondson as Nigel, Lesley Sharp as Monica, Turlough Convery as Michael and Camilla Beeput as Nicola.Series two, episode six, the series finale, aired last week and saw a trapped and desperate Bergerac negotiate for his life while still drawing together the threads of the mystery.With Bergerac now finished, viewers will be wondering what they can watch next and what will fill its spot on Thursday nights. U&Drama will be airing series one of thriller series, Art Detectives.A synopsis teases of the show: "Art-loving DI Mick Palmer and DC Shazia Malik work for Heritage Crime, the Met's smallest department-investigating murders and thefts in the shadowy world of art, antiquities, and priceless artefacts."Stephen Moyer takes on the role of DI Mick Palmer while Nina Singh plays DC Shazia Malik.
