MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday joined Muslims in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, calling on Filipinos to look beyond personal desires.

In his message dated May 27, Marcos described the observance of Eid’l Adha as a “timeless message” that sacrifice offered with sincerity and love can become “a source of profound strength.”

“As we reflect on the story of Prophet Ibrahim, this sacred occasion reminds us of the power of unwavering faith, complete submission to Allah’s will, and trust in a purpose greater than ourselves,” Marcos said.

“It calls us to look beyond our personal desires and to recognize that true fulfillment is found in obedience, humility, and devotion,” he added.
