The National Orientation Agency in Jigawa State has called on Nigerians to let the lessons of Eid al-Adha reflect in their daily lives as a step towards building a stronger and more united country.
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, on Wednesday by the Head of Communication and Media, National Orientation Agency, Mrs Sarah Ogodo, on behalf of the state Director, Mr Ahmad Ibrahim.
According to Ogodo, the state director urged citizens to allow the spirit of the season to shape national conduct as Muslims in Nigeria joined the global Ummah to mark Eid al-Adha.
She said Ibrahim noted that Eid al-Adha, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s ultimate sacrifice and obedience to God, carries direct lessons for Nigeria’s present moment.
