Sources within the party said Amaechi, who was among the contestants in the primaries, is dissatisfied with the conduct and outcome of the exercise.
Former Minister of Transportation and former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, is reportedly set to reject the outcome of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election in which former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerged winner, and is considering approaching the court to challenge the result.
Sources within the party said Amaechi, who was among the contestants in the primaries, is dissatisfied with the conduct and outcome of the exercise.
According to party insiders, the former governor expressed dissatisfaction with the process, describing it as flawed and not a reflection of the true will of delegates, prompting consultations on possible legal action.
“Atiku will emerge as the winner of the ADC primary election and Amaechi is set to reject the result,” an insider told SaharaReporters. “Amaechi is also considering taking legal action over the issue.”
