:YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) NTR district president Devineni Avinash on Tuesday demanded that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) explain the Enforcement Directorate (ED) notices reportedly issued to Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivnath’s (Chinni) wife in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the liquor scam.Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Mr. Avinash alleged that the ED had identified financial offences involving shell companies linked to members of Mr. Sivanath’s family and had issued notices summoning his wife for questioning. He alleged that Mr. Kesineni Sivanath had cheated several people in the name of consultancy services in the United States and through real estate ventures in Hyderabad. The YSRCP leader claimed that many victims were still visiting the MP’s office seeking justice. He also alleged that money was being collected every month from ration shops and claimed that allegations relating to settlements, land grabbing and encroachment of temple lands were being widely discussed in Vijayawada.Stating that such a person had no moral right to criticise former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr. Avinash recalled that Mr. Kesineni Sivanath’s political career itself began with the betrayal of his elder brother and former Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani.. He questioned why the government had not acted despite allegations and evidence reportedly raised earlier by TDP MLA Kolikapudi Srinivas against Mr. Kesineni Sivanath.Mr. Avinash also warned that the YSRCP would respond strongly if derogatory remarks were made against Mr. Jagan.
