As many as 72.49% of students who appeared for the vocational higher secondary examinations - Continuous Evaluation and Grading NSQF (National Skills Qualifications Framework) scheme - qualified for higher studies, an increase of 2.43 percentage points from the 70.06% last year.As many as 25,259 students had appeared for the examinations, and 18,311 qualified—8,595 girls (83.58%) and 9,716 boys (64.88%). Both girls and boys improved their performance from 81.91% and 62.1% last year, respectively.The pass percentage in the private category was 53.62.The pass percentage in Science was 71, Humanities 71.5, and Commerce 78.59.Thirteen schools registered 100% results. Of them, seven were government schools and the rest aided.The number of schools with full A+ grade was 162, down from 193 last year.As many as 64 schools had less than 50% results.The pass percentage in the Scheduled Caste category was 63.2 and that in the Scheduled Tribe category was 63.24.Wayanad district had the highest pass percentage of 87.3, while Kasaragod had the lowest of 60.63. Thrissur district had the maximum number of students with full A+ grade.All four schools for students with speech and hearing challenges registered 100% results.The last date to apply for revaluation, copy of answer scripts, and scrutiny is June 3. The last date to apply for the SAY (Save-a-Year)/improvement examinations without fine is June 1 and with fine is June 3. The SAY/improvement examinations will be held from June 29 to July 3.
