While company-wide changes and statements are hailing the arrival of artificial intelligence, many workers across several industries saw the potential of the tech as already failing to meet the expectations of these statements. Many businesses of different sizes have been leaning into using AI to optimize processes where possible, but the widespread adoption of AI is yet to truly land.

One sector said to be primed for an AI takeover was marketing. Particularly when it comes to digital marketing. AI agents were foretold to take over, pump out targeted ads, and generate personalized messaging to secure customer conversions. That hasn’t quite happened, with many still relying on trusted, standardized approaches.
