According to the sources, the development has sparked anger among affected personnel, many of whom are reportedly uncertain about where to relocate with their families.

The Nigerian police authorities have reportedly mandated personnel living in the Command Barracks in Owerri to vacate the premises.

Sources familiar with the development told SaharaReporters on Tuesday that although the reason for the directive remains unclear, affected officers and their families have not been provided with any alternative accommodation.

The sources also alleged that they were informed that the barracks premises had been sold.

"They asked that officers alongside their families should leave the Command Barracks but they didn't provide any alternative for them," a source told SaharaReporters.
