A Mobile Police (MOPOL) officer attached to MOPOL 20 in Lagos has been arrested in Ore, Ondo State, after he and two other men allegedly attempted to dismantle a security barricade during a stop-and-search operation.
The incident occurred at about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026, when personnel of the Mining Enforcement and Security team conducting a stop-and-search operation in Ore accosted a Hilux vehicle carrying three men dressed in Civil Defence uniforms.
