Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda, has expressed grief over the death of 12 persons in a tragic road accident along the Kano–Katsina Highway.
The fatal crash, which occurred at Gidan Mutum Daya around 8:30 pm on Sunday, involved a head-on collision between a trailer and a vehicle operating under a Public–Private Partnership arrangement with the Katsina State Transport Authority.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, and made available to newsmen on Monday.
Six victims, including the driver, died instantly at the scene, while six others later died at the hospital.
