Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has approved the construction of 20.37 kilometres of township roads across three local government areas of Katsina State as part of efforts to improve urban infrastructure and boost economic activities.

The approval was granted on Wednesday during the 10th Regular Meeting of the Katsina State Executive Council for 2026, held at the Government House, Katsina.

Briefing journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Engr. Sani Ingawa, said the council approved contracts for the dualisation of the 3.0-kilometre Mashi Township Road, the construction of 6.67 kilometres of township roads in Bakori, and 10.7 kilometres of township roads in Malumfashi.

He said the projects form part of Radda’s commitment to expanding and modernising road infrastructure across major towns in the state.
