Three masked offenders who were caught red-handed trying to steal a diesel trailer from a Feilding yard are on the run after fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
A 20-year-old man has been taken into custody following a separate police pursuit that unfolded while officers rushed to the initial industrial break-in.
The police were called just after midnight on Tuesday after the trio were disturbed trying to steal the trailer from a property on Kimbolton Rd.
The three offenders fled the industrial site, towing the diesel trailer behind a utility vehicle that police confirmed had also been stolen. Officers later found the abandoned utility vehicle on McCorkindale St.
