More than four months after the arrest of Artin Ghazanfari, a Baha’i citizen, photojournalist, writer, and narrator of the “13th Month” podcast, his status remains unclear. His detention order has reportedly been extended several times without explanation, while requests for his temporary release on bail have so far been rejected.

The Baha’i citizen was arrested at his home on January 19. According to informed sources, eleven agents entered the residence with a judicial warrant and spent nearly seven to eight hours searching the property before confiscating personal belongings and taking him into custody. The agents also raided his workplace, searched the premises, and seized his professional equipment.

For 46 days after his arrest, no information was available about his whereabouts. It was later revealed that he had been transferred to Fashafuye Prison due to wartime conditions.

A source familiar with the case said Ghazanfari suffers from several health conditions, including heart failure, asthma, and high blood pressure, and required daily medication before his arrest. During his detention, he also reportedly contracted COVID-19, while the lack of adequate medical care further worsened his asthma.
