The Violent Crime Response Unit of the Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspected drug dealers and recovered a large quantity of illicit substances in the Amukpe area of Sapele Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as Onyedikachi, 40, and Edna Karaki, 36, both residents of Amukpe, Sapele, were arrested during a targeted operation conducted on May 22, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m.
According to the command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, the operatives acted on credible intelligence before raiding the suspected drug dealers’ hideout in the area.
The statement reads, “Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the VCRU on 22 May 2026 at about 0530hrs carried out a targeted operation at a suspected drug dealers’ hideout in the Amukpe area of Sapele. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects identified as Onyedikachi, male, aged 40, and Edna Karaki, female, aged 36, both residents of Amukpe, Sapele.”
