The participation of the murderer Dimitris Koufontinas in the documentary “File 17N” provoked opinions for and against this choice of the show’s producers. It also provoked a strong reaction from many relatives of the victims of terrorist group 17N (November 17) and their refusal to participate. As the son of a victim, I want to explain my own reasons.

Koufontinas is the most outspoken, unrepentant murderer of the relatives of many of us. He murdered our relatives in cold blood, without them having done anything personal to him and his friends, without knowing them. Then he “murdered” them again with unabashed – as a rule – fantasies about their qualities in proclamations.

His gang issued 74 proclamations in its 27-year history, covering approximately 900 pages that had bullets, bombs and rockets as stamps. It blackmailed society into reading them just because they had blood. A court of the state that Koufontinas opposes and despises rightly gave him a platform to testify, where he once again supported his actions.

He also wrote a book about his “journey” and his actions, which was published by Livanis Publications, a systemic (at the time) publishing house that gave him a platform. He has also given interviews from prison, which were published in niche or “friendly” publications.
