Slovakia’s leading tax, audit and accounting firms say clients now want advisers who can turn data into decisions.
Artificial intelligence (AI), digitalisation and growing regulation are changing the work of Slovakia’s tax advisers, auditors and accounting firms. Compliance remains at the core of their services, but clients now expect more than correct filings, clean audits or timely payroll processing.
“It is no longer just about having the numbers correct and on time, but about having someone who understands them, can interpret them, and use them as a basis for the owner’s decision-making,” said Peter Pašek, managing director and partner of Accace.
Across the rankings, the same pattern emerges. Advisory firms are being asked to interpret data, manage risks, improve internal processes and support business decisions. Routine work is being automated, while demand is shifting towards people who can combine technical expertise with analytical thinking, digital skills and sound business judgement.
Technology is no longer treated as a separate tool. For leading firms, it is becoming part of how advice, audit and accounting are delivered. The question is not whether it will change their work, but how quickly firms can adapt.
