Artificial intelligence is gradually transforming Slovakia’s labour market. Several surveys conducted by recruitment agencies operating in the country confirm that AI is reshaping the types of jobs that companies require, across numerous sectors.
The surveys also confirm persistent gender pay gaps and regional disparities.
A total of 249,136 job offers were published in 2025 on Profesia.sk, the largest jobs portal in Slovakia and part of the Alma Career group, down by 16 percent year on year. Companies considered the economic situation to be unstable and were more careful with hiring. The average number of responses per job advert was 29, the highest figure in the website’s history.
