Software developers, data analysts and cybersecurity specialists are forecast to see demand for around 268,000 new positions, reflecting businesses' growing reliance on digital infrastructure and AI-powered technologies.
The sector also offers competitive salaries, with average annual earnings of approximately $133,000. Employers are placing greater emphasis on technical skills, certifications and professional portfolios, making it possible for many candidates to enter the industry without a traditional four-year university degree.
The healthcare industry is also projected to expand significantly as aging populations increase demand for medical services. Advanced practice nurses are taking on more responsibilities traditionally handled by physicians and earn average annual salaries of nearly $126,000.
