The development of logistics operations, the expansion of the locker network, the rollout of new financial services for merchants and consumers, expansion into new Southeast European markets following Cyprus, and the enhancement of the experience for partner merchants and end consumers through new tools and faster delivery times are the key pillars of Skroutz’s business plan.Against this backdrop, just days after announcing Blackstone’s entry into its shareholding structure, Skroutz unveiled the Skroutz Hub FBS & AutoStore project, focusing on robotic systems, process automation, increased storage capacity, and faster order fulfillment and product distribution capabilities — developments that effectively mark the beginning of the company’s next growth phase. The popular Greek marketplace aims to further evolve into an international online shopping platform modeled on global industry leaders, with its modernized and upgraded fulfillment center in Aspropyrgos serving as a strategic benchmark. As Skroutz’s leadership team points out, “Skroutz Hub is currently the largest direct-to-consumer 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) hub in Greece, with management capabilities now comparable to equivalent European logistics infrastructures, both in terms of order volumes and operational capacity.” The warehouse currently handles more than 45,000 SKUs and 500,000 units, while it has the capacity to accommodate up to 1.2 million units. It is also capable of processing more than 25,000 orders per day. The new infrastructure significantly strengthens the operational capabilities of Skroutz Hub, creating the conditions for even faster service for consumers and partners nationwide. As a clear example of the hub’s fulfillment speed, the company highlights this year’s Black Friday, the Christmas season, and the post-Easter period, during which it recorded an all-time high of more than 18,000 orders processed in a single day.Fulfilled by Skroutz (FBS) serviceLeveraging the capabilities of the hub, Skroutz is rolling out new services for merchants as well as end consumers. In particular, the company has launched the Fulfilled by Skroutz (FBS) storage and order fulfillment service.FBS undertakes the entire order fulfillment process on behalf of merchants — from storage and packaging to shipping and returns management — while at the same time ensuring faster service for consumers. Even merchants based in remote areas or islands can effectively operate “next to” the consumer, securing rapid deliveries in Athens and Thessaloniki.According to Skroutz, “more than 300 partners are currently using the Fulfilled by Skroutz (FBS) warehousing and order fulfillment service, while businesses that have completed one year on the service have recorded a 54% increase in average monthly turnover and a 58% increase in peak monthly sales, compared to the corresponding period prior to joining FBS.”At the same time, the share of their sales through Skroutz Hub increased by 20% over the past year, now reaching 65%. This has led to a continuous expansion of Skroutz’s partner network using the service: between March 2025 and March 2026, 138 new businesses placed their first product in Skroutz Hub.From the consumer side, shipments processed through FBS rose by 75% over the past year (March 2025 – March 2026). The positive customer experience was also reflected in the Average SEF (Shopping Experience Feedback) score, which reached 4.8 for FBS orders, compared with 4.6 for orders fulfilled outside the service, confirming that warehouse reliability materially enhances the overall customer experience and boosts repeat purchases.AutoStore system: cutting-edge technology at Skroutz HubAccording to Skroutz management, the technology underpinning both the hub’s operations and the FBS service — AutoStore — is currently the world’s most advanced automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS), based on the “Cube Storage Automation” philosophy. The AutoStore system for FBS was installed in a record time of just four months (December 2025 – March 2026).The new infrastructure spans 1,000 square meters, reaches a height of 8 meters, and consists of 36,000 bins, 30 robots, two inbound stations, and five outbound/inbound stations, with storage capacity for up to 1.2 million units. This investment radically transforms warehouse productivity metrics: a single operator can now process up to 220 orders per hour, representing an impressive 70% increase compared with the previous operating model, where capacity stood at 130 orders per hour.In addition, AutoStore continuously “learns” and self-optimizes through ongoing usage. It features exceptionally low energy consumption and delivers 99.7% uptime, ensuring uninterrupted warehouse operations. The system’s technology is based on four core components:The Grid: the structural framework that defines the storage space.Bins: storage containers used for holding products.Robots: autonomous robots moving on top of the grid to retrieve the appropriate bin. When a product is requested, the robot moves above the relevant column, lifts intermediate bins if necessary, retrieves the correct one, and transports it to the stations.Ports: stations where the robot delivers the bin to the human picker.Under this model, the operator remains stationary while the product “comes” to them, significantly reducing order execution times.Skroutz emphasizes that, “unlike traditional warehouses that require large aisles for people or forklifts to move around, AutoStore maximizes every available storage point. Products are stacked vertically inside dedicated bins within a large aluminum grid structure. Without AutoStore technology, Skroutz would require two additional warehouses to manage the same volume of units.”Performance and growth trajectorySkroutz marked 20 years of market presence in 2025, a year in which its turnover reached 150 million euros, while the total gross merchandise value (GMV) transacted through the platform approached 1 billion euros. The company has built a product base exceeding 26 million products from approximately 9,000 partner merchants. For 2026, management estimates growth rates of between 20% and 25%.It should also be noted that the company plans to further expand its smart locker network. Skroutz currently operates around 90,000 smart locker compartments and aims to increase that number to 110,000 across Greece and Cyprus by early 2027.
