August Robotics, founded by Greek-born Alex Wyatt, recently launched Boris: a fleet of autonomous robots that undertake vertical drilling tasks for large construction sites, with initial application in the construction of artificial intelligence data centers.
With a vision to increase robot production and develop hubs in the US, Australia, Asia and Greece, August Robotics is raising $30 million, the main investor being Greek venture capital fund Big Pi Ventures.
As Panos Metsis, partner at Big Pi Ventures, explains to Kathimerini, “the construction of a data center can be accelerated by more than three months through the use of August Robotics robots.”
