Kenya Airways has confirmed a mid-air bird strike incident involving one of its aircraft operating flight KQ421 from Entebbe to Nairobi on Saturday morning, forcing an emergency return to Entebbe International Airport shortly after takeoff.
The national carrier disclosed that the incident occurred at approximately 10:02Hrs East Africa Time (EAT), shortly after the scheduled departure.
According to the airline, the crew followed standard aviation safety procedures before making the decision to turn back.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the airline’s Corporate Communications department, Kenya Airways confirmed that the aircraft landed safely at 10:41Hrs local time, with all passengers and crew disembarking without injuries.
