A 60-year-old woman was killed after a lorry carrying rock chips overturned onto her house in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased was identified as Mariam Beevi, a native of Parakode. The accident occurred near School Junction on KP Road at around 3 a.m. while the family was asleep.According to sources, the lorry, loaded with chipped rocks, lost control due to overspeeding. The vehicle first rammed into an electric post on the roadside before overturning onto the nearby house of Mariam Beevi. The impact of the crash caused the wall of the house to collapse completely. Mariam Beevi, who was sleeping inside the room, was trapped under the debris and stones from the overturned lorry.Hearing the loud noise, local residents rushed to the spot.
