EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas described today’s Russian Oreshnik attack on Ukraine as a reckless risk of nuclear war and said EU Foreign Ministers would discuss increasing pressure on Moscow the following week.

According to Ukrinform, Kallas wrote this on X.

According to Kallas, Russia has reached a dead end on the battlefield and is therefore terrorizing Ukraine with deliberate strikes on city centers. She described these as “abhorrent acts of terror meant to kill as many civilians as possible.”

“Moscow reportedly using Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missiles – systems designed to carry nuclear warheads – is a political scare-tactic and reckless nuclear-brinkmanship,” Kallas stressed.

“Next week, EU Foreign Ministers will discuss how to dial up the international pressure on Russia,” she added.
