A humanoid robot developed by China’s Unitree Robotics has made headlines for becoming a Buddhist monk in Seoul. Last week, the robot named Gabi took part in a precept-taking ritual at a temple in the South Korean capital, where it formally accepted five Buddhist vows adapted for robots, including a promise not to overcharge itself.
