TAGBILARAN CITY — Panglao, Bohol recorded the highest volume of garbage collected during the simultaneous underwater and coastal cleanup drive conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VII on Thursday, May 21, as part of the nationwide “Scubasurero Drive” campaign.
Data from DENR Region VII showed that volunteers gathered around 250 kilograms of waste in Panglao alone, the largest among the three cleanup sites in Central Visayas.
The activity also covered Moalboal and Malapascua in Cebu, where 44 kilograms and 61 kilograms of trash were collected, respectively.
