The Law Graduates Association of Nigeria (LAWGAN) has condemned the brutal attack on Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where bandits beheaded a mathematics teacher, Mr Michael Oyedokun, and abducted several students, teachers, and the school principal.
In a statement issued on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and signed by its President, Kayode Bello, and Public Relations Officer, Ojo Clement, LAWGAN described the attack as “tragic and barbaric.”
The group warned that the growing wave of insecurity targeting schools in the country poses a grave threat to education and national development.
According to LAWGAN, the killing of Oyedokun and the abduction of students and staff members of the school represent “a direct attack on humanity, education, and the security of innocent Nigerians.”
