The association described the incident as an assault on humanity, education and the safety of innocent Nigerians.

The Law Graduates Association of Nigeria has condemned the attack on Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, in Oriire Local Government Area, following which a mathematics teacher was beheaded and several students and staff members abducted by armed bandits.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the association described the incident as “tragic and barbaric,” warning that continued attacks on schools pose a grave threat to education and national security.

According to the statement signed by LAWGAN President and Public Relations Officer, Kayode Bello and Ojo Clement respectively, the attack led to the killing of a mathematics teacher identified as Michael Oyedokun, while the school principal, students and other staff members were abducted.

“The Law Graduates Association of Nigeria strongly condemns the tragic and barbaric attack carried out by armed bandits at Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, where a mathematics teacher, Mr Michael Oyedokun, was gruesomely beheaded, while several students, teachers, and the school principal were abducted,” the statement said.
