Ukraine’s air defense forces intercepted or jammed 102 out of 124 Russian drones launched against the country from the evening of May 22.

Ukrinform reported this, citing a Telegram statement from the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 18:30 on Friday, May 22, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 124 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and various decoy drones. Launch sites included Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and drone defense units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 08:30 on Saturday, May 23, Ukrainian forces had downed or suppressed 102 enemy UAVs across northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
