The leaders of the Nigerian Citizens Association in South Africa have advised members to always respect and obey the laws of their host country.
NICASA stated that Nigerians in South Africa should also ensure proper documentation and maintain valid immigration status.
The community made this known in its concluded crime awareness webinar tagged, ‘Living Lawfully in South Africa.’
In a statement made available to Diaspora Tales, the president of the association, Rev Frank Onyekwelu, NICASA urged Nigerians to avoid involvement in criminal activities like fraud, drugs, cybercrime, and violence. “The webinar served as an important platform to educate, enlighten, and empower Nigerians residing in South Africa on the importance of lawful conduct, community responsibility, and protecting the integrity of the Nigerian identity abroad.”
