Earlier this week, Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that China and the United States have agreed to launch an intergovernmental dialogue on AI. In an exclusive interview with China Perspective, Zhu Min, former deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, noted that there is no doubt that China and the US are the world's two undisputed leaders in AI.
Though the models of AI innovation pursued by China and the US are different, Zhu said that for the two major AI players, "how to both compete and cooperate and how to build a 'guardrail'" is a matter of great importance.
