MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) denied that it had allegedly allotted food and transportation allowances for employees of Secretary Jonvic Remulla’s office.
The agency made this pronouncement in a statement on Friday, citing that the claim was circulating online, but not immediately providing further context.
“The Department of the Interior and Local Government clarifies that there is no approved or allotted budget for the purported food and transportation allowances for employees of the Office of the Secretary that is being alleged now online,” the agency said.
