The employee allegedly replies that the charge was “₹300 per signature per person” and claims that the money was meant for the doctor. The video subsequently went viral on social media platforms.Hospital sources said that government hospitals do not collect money for signatures. The employee was identified as Srinivasan. Authorities said the matter was taken up with the private company that had employed him, following which he was placed under suspension.Sources said many doctors were reluctant to sign Aadhaar address verification forms as they could not independently verify whether applicants actually resided at the addresses mentioned. Medical associations had also reportedly advised doctors to avoid signing such documents except in cases related to health certificates.
