Ashnie Dookie cannot forget watching her partner of seven years lying injured and bleeding from his head and ear after an alleged hit-and-run incident in Phoenix on May 9.
Looking at him on the ground, she prayed for his full recovery. But he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
Terrance Moonsamy, 36, of Trenance Manor, sustained head injuries after a vehicle allegedly struck him while he was crossing the road in Highmanor Grove. The driver allegedly fled the scene.
Dookie said she was at home when she learned that Moonsamy, a sales agent at a call-centre, had been hit by a vehicle.
