A Montana woman has described the moment she watched her husband die after a Golden Arrow bus struck him during a multi-vehicle crash outside their home on Monday morning.

According to police spokesperson FC van Wyk, the fatal incident occurred in Valhalla Drive when a collision involving two bakkies drew people to the scene, before a bus attempting to avoid the crash became involved in a further collision, Cape Argus reported.

Shaun Francis, a butcher who was on his way to work in Woodstock, was among those at the scene when the tragedy unfolded. His wife, Marilyn, said she was speaking to him on the phone at the time and watched the incident from their kitchen window.

“When the accident happened, I went to the scene because I saw it happen from the window,” she said.
