A drone attack hit Russia’s Yaroslavl region, about 250 km from Moscow, early Friday, prompting authorities to close traffic on a highway leading toward the capital. Yaroslavl regional governor Mikhail Yevrayev said the region had come under a Ukrainian drone attack, according to Ukrainska Pravda, citing the governor and Russian public channels.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official. “Our region was subjected to an attack by Ukrainian UAVs,” Yevrayev said. “For safety reasons, traffic has been closed on the exit from Yaroslavl toward Moscow,” he added. Russian media reported that a drone struck an industrial facility in Yaroslavl, causing a fire. Yevrayev later said emergency services were working at the site and that there were no reported casualties. The Russian Telegram channel Shot reported that, according to local residents, around 20 explosions were heard in Yaroslavl, Ukrainska Pravda reported. The traffic closure affected the exit from Yaroslavl toward Moscow near the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt and the South-Western Ring Road, according to Russian reports.
