Your cooperation is essential to the success of this effort,” the email states. It also notes it is being sent on behalf of Colonel J.R. Toope, Commander of Canadian Forces Support Group (Ottawa-Gatineau) and Base Commander of Canadian Forces Base Ottawa-Gatineau.This is not the first time such a request has been made. For example, back in 2018, an article in Canadian Military Family Magazine publicized a previous ask to military personnel. Brown says that request was similarly motivated. Then, as now, the CAF’s numbers were growing. Our website is the place for the latest breaking news, exclusive scoops, longreads and provocative commentary.
