Environment Canada has confirmed that a tornado touched down near London, Ont., on Tuesday and is investigating another possible tornado in Huntsville, Ont., after one person died during a severe thunderstorm on Victoria Day.

The tornado southeast of London happened near 6 p.m., on Tuesday, according to a weather summary by Environment Canada, after a few days of a summer-like and intense heat over the latter half of the long weekend. The weather agency didn’t note the strength of the tornado or how long it lasted.
