As gas prices continue to rise, and travel becomes increasingly and prohibitely expensive, stories set across the world and crafted by those whose lived experiences infuse their pages become more essential than ever. Thanks to all the publishers, translators, writers, and readers who still believe in a world without borders, who are actively defying the insidious creep of isolationism, xenophobia, and nationalism.
