Police are searching for suspects who allegedly posed as electricity utility workers and robbed an elderly woman in the Athens suburb of Psychiko on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the suspects claimed there was a power fault at the woman’s home and gained entry under false pretenses. Once inside, they stole jewelry and family heirlooms valued by the victim at about €300,000.
The robbery was discovered shortly after the suspects left the residence. Authorities said a manhunt is underway to identify and arrest those responsible.
