Governor Dauda Lawal was affirmed as the consensus All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Zamfara state for the 2027 general election.
The affirmation was done yesterday by the APC members in Madawaki ward in Gusau Local Government area of Zamfara state.
Party members and supporters gathered across various wards in the state, where they unanimously endorsed Lawal as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming governorship election.
The APC members from the governor’s ward made the affirmation during the ongoing governorship primary election of the APC held yesterday across the country
The affirmation was witnessed by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and that of the APC from the party’s National Headquarters. The INEC and APC representatives commended the electorates for peaceful conduct of the process.
