Thousands of All Progressives Congress stakeholders from Jigawa’s 287 wards across 27 local government areas have endorsed Governor Umar Namadi for a second term, as the party hailed unity ahead of the 2027 polls.
The PUNCH gathered that the ruling party in Jigawa State held a massive gathering on Thursday to affirm Namadi as its consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
Party supporters from across the state filled Dutse Stadium in the state capital, turning the event into a show of force for the APC.
It could be recalled that the APC in Jigawa State recently held its primaries and consensus process for the 2027 elections.
