Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has received the report of the committee he set up to consult and mediate among APC aspirants following the conclusion of the party’s primaries held at various levels across the state.
PUNCH Online recalls that the committee was set up by Governor Namadi on May 22, 2026, under the leadership of Jigawa APC chieftain Isah Gerawa, with the mandate to engage aspirants, listen to their grievances and suggestions, and promote unity and peace within the party.
Although the primaries were reportedly conducted peacefully, Governor Namadi said he considered it necessary to continue consulting with all stakeholders to ensure that every party member feels respected and to strengthen unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
