Some Iranian media outlets have reported that the Pakistan Army Chief will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic within the next hour.
Over the past few weeks, Pakistan has repeatedly hosted or transmitted indirect messages between Tehran and Washington. Just yesterday, Mohsin Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, traveled to Tehran for the second time in a single week, holding meetings and discussions with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and President Masoud Pezeshkian. According to informed sources, messages emphasizing the importance of continuing negotiations and de-escalating tensions were conveyed to Iranian officials during these meetings.
The latest visit by the Pakistan Army Chief comes after his previous trip to Tehran on April 17, during which he consulted with Iranian officials regarding regional security cooperation and developments related to the indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.
