The UK's best-rated attraction for families has been named, combining adventure and education in a fun-packed environment - and tickets cost just £16.95 per person09:56, 21 May 2026Britain's top attraction has been revealed - and it might just surprise you.The UK is packed with exciting days out for families, from heart-pounding roller coasters and themed lands to water parks, seaside resorts, museums and national parks. With so much on offer, choosing the perfect day out, especially during the school holidays, can be a challenge, but one destination has risen above the rest.A Which? survey has crowned Eureka! Science + Discovery in Merseyside, the UK's best-rated attraction. The consumer comparison site assessed more than 5,000 trips submitted by Which? members and the general public, with the Merseyside hotspot clinching an impressive 85% rating - beating the likes of Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Legoland to the top spot.READ MORE: Small Cotswold town used as film set for Disney's Rivals with independent shops and railway walkREAD MORE: Inside the £75,500-a-night hotel suite that comes with personal butler and huge infinity poolExperts described Eureka!, which boasts a multi-storey climbing tree, as comparable to an indoor adventure park, yet just as "educational as a science museum". Visitors can explore six interactive zones, from walking through a pair of lungs to becoming a DJ in the bathroom, as well as enjoying creative workshops and a host of activities for younger children. Thanks to its relatively under-the-radar status compared to bigger attraction giants, Which? highlighted that it offers fewer queues and "no overcrowding". Its wallet-friendly pricing is another big selling point, with tickets for adults and children aged three and above priced at £16.95 per person. Those aged one or two are charged £7.45, while under-ones get in absolutely free, reports the Liverpool Echo. One guest praised it as an 'excellent interactive science museum' on TripAdvisor and said: "Great science museum right near the ferry. Super friendly staff and some great interactive exhibits. Optimal age probably sub 12 years old, but big kids had fun too."Another visitor remarked: "Went with family over the half term. Interactive exhibitions that contain so many interesting facts, etc., there's always something else for the kids to see and enjoy on each visit. Since it opened, we have been about 15 times, and the kids love it (2 and 5)."From the robot, innovation area, body systems, nature, climbing frame, burrow and the shows. Well worth the annual pass. The burrow area is great for kids of all ages for building big foam structures, slides, or simply using light-up Duplo. It's educational, interactive, and just what kids need. We are very lucky this has opened so close to us."After being crowned the best-visited UK attraction, Eureka! Chief Executive Leigh-Anne Stradeski told Liverpool Echo: "We're absolutely thrilled to be recognised by Which? visitors as the best UK attraction. Eureka! Science + Discovery is designed to spark curiosity in young people, so hearing that families value the experience and believe that it represents great value for money means the world to us. We believe learning should be lots of fun and feel like an adventure, so it's fantastic to see that visitors agree." For further details or to secure your visit, head to the Eureka!
